David

David A. Johnson, C.O.

David has been in the Orthotic and Prosthetic industry since 1982. He attended the University of Maine and Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He continued his education to become ABC (American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics) certified in 1991. In 1994, he founded Advance Orthotic and Prosthetic Services, Inc. David and his company are members of the American Association of Orthotics and Prosthetics, American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association, Better Business Bureau, and locally the Chamber of Commerce,the Auburn Business Association, and participate in fund raising for the Maine Handicap Skiing. David has had training in many specialties and has a reputation of working well with children.

Sandy

Sandra J. Marino, C.O., C.Ped.

Sandra is a Portland native who graduated from Westbrook College with an Associates Degree as a Medical Assistant. She continued this field for six years and then spurred on to orthopedic applications. She was Certified as a Pedorthist in 1990 assisting patients of all ages to proper footwear and Orthotic devices to alleviate pain with dynamic alignment principles. In 2003, she furthered her carrier as a Certified Orthotist. Sandy’s soft, caring personality and the ability to be a good listener is greatly appreciated by her patients. Educating and assisting patients with their diagnosis and helpful suggestions for their speedy recovery is something she prides herself in. She enjoys skiing, golfing, playing pool, and entertaining with friends.

Randy

Randall Shaw, BOCO R.T.,R

Randy has worked in the healthcare field for over 30 years. He graduated from Central Maine Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology in 1978. While working in the field of orthopedics he became certified as an Orthopedic Technologist in 1987. Randy has written many published articles for various orthopedic journals both nationally and internationally. Randy's special interests include caring for individuals with diabetic foot problems, and sports related injuries. His knowledge, patient communication skills, and easy going demeanor make him a valuable asset to the AOPS staff.

Dale

Dale Conlin, Certified Prosthetist

Dale joins the AOPS team with 22 years of experience in the prosthetic field; having studied at Michigan State University graduating to a 4 year internship at the Institute for the Advancement of Prosthetics. Dale served as a staff Prosthetist as well as the assistant to the Director to the world renowned Prosthetist Jan Stokosa.

Dale, an amputee himself, specializes in Total Surface Bearing trans-tibial and narrow medial-lateral trans-femoral socket designs. Compassionate and gifted in his craft, Dale is ready to assist in making your patients road to rehabilitation and recovery a smooth transition.

Dale has won National and World Disabled Waterskiing Championships as well as being an accomplished weekend warrior on rollerblades, snow skis, and windsurfing boards. His real world experience makes him a world class choice.
